CALGARY EVENT DETAILS THANK YOU CALGARY CHASERS! YOU "ROCKED" ON SATURDAY... GAVE IT 100% AND SET THE BAR VERY HIGH FOR THE REST OF THE SERIES! It was a beautiful day....the nicest weather in Calgary City Chase history in fact and ...You Chased your hearts out! A record breaking 550 teams participated in the event this past weekend and soldiered it out - showing the rest of Canada "NOT TO MESS" with Calgarians! Congratulations to Colin and Becky Feasby who were declared The 2010 Mitsubishi City Chase Powered by BlackBerry Champions! We`ll see you both at The Canadian Championships! WE HOPE EVERYONE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME TESTING YOUR MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT! Once again you embraced The Chase! Thank You to all Chasers, extraordinary volunteers, sponsors and partners! The highest fundraising team from each City Chase event will be entered into a random draw and invited as our guest to The 2010 Canadian Championships. Please stay tuned for more information as the 2011 season approaches. ***IMPORTANT UPDATE*** Steven Avenue accidently booked a conflicting promotional event in the Start/Finish area. To ensure that The City Chase experience isn`t compromised, a decision has been made to change the Start/Finish location to the North Plaza of Eau Claire Market. (Corner of 2nd Street & 2nd Avenue SW 202, 200 Barclay Parade S.W.) The good news is, Eau Claire Market has been a tremendous venue partner over the past 6 years, and it will be perfect for Saturday`s event. That said, we recognize that the venue change, and in particular the late notice, is inconvenient. To help accommodate, a shuttle will be set up between 2:00pm and 6:00pm on Saturday to/from Eau Claire Market and the After Party / Flame Central. During The Chase, you will try things that you have never done before, you will meet tons of great people, you will push your physical and intellectual limits, you will learn something new about the City of Calgary, and you will have plenty of new stories to share. For 1000 Chasers, there are two more days to prepare ...So think about... *Doing last minute stretching *Brushing up your knowledge of local history and culture *Studying the transit system *Raising money for Right To Play *Preparing Chase-Day costumes *Working on your team dynamic Although preparation is good thing, always remember ... Expect the Unexpected! PRE-EVENT KIT PICK-UP Our suggestion is to AVOID the long line-up on the morning of the event, by checking in early!! Date: Thursday June 10th Timing: 4:00pm to 8:00pm Location: Running Room - Eau Claire Market ____________________________ ***IMPORTANT UPDATE*** Due to a shirt delivery issue, you may not receive your shirt at PRE-EVENT pick-up on Thursday. All other race relevant materials will still be available for pick-up. If you choose to come on Thursday for kit pick-up and do not receive your shirt, you may pick-up your shirt on race day in the morning without having to stand in the regular registration line-up. ADDITIONALLY ... We have scheduled a second PRE-EVENT KIT PICK-UP on Friday June 11th at the Eau Claire Market Running Room from 4:30pm to 8pm where the shirts will be available. We apologize for the inconvenience. IMPORTANT! * You will require photo I.D. as well as the signed waiver for both participants. You only need to hand in one copy per team, as there is a space on the waiver for both team members to sign. Waiver - click here * Only one member of your team needs to be present at the pre-event kit pick-up, but they MUST bring the waiver with both signatures on it. We don`t want to have to turn you away, so please remember to follow this instruction! * You will receive your team shirts, bib numbers, and transit passes. The other non-race related goodies will be provided once you cross the finish line! * Please ensure that your team information is accurate on the event manifest - team name and both participant names. Calgary Transit: Calgary Transit has been moving Calgarians since 1909 - that`s 100 years of service! Over the next century we will continue to change and grow with Calgary, as we have for the past century. Calgary Transit`s fleet is made up of 222 regular buses, 534 low floor buses, 37 articulated buses, 85 community shuttle buses, and 157 light rail vehicles.
