Location: George Street Strip – Middle of strip
Timing: Saturday September 6, 2007 – First team expected around 3:00pm
Description:
Exhausted from the adventures of the past two days, teams were excited to find out that their next stop was the finish line on George Street - teams simply had to complete the paddle across to Harbourside Park, and then travel on foot approximately 500 meters.
With all four remaining teams within 30 minutes departing Quidi Vidi, and three teams all in the tunnels at the same time, the finish certainly met the expectations of the hundreds of cheering locals who eagerly awaited the winners.
With the victory, Team Regina, made up of Nicki Rehn and James Dean, earned crown as Champions of The 2008 Mitsubishi City Chase Presented by BlackBerry, have each won an All-New 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer, and will represent Canada in Marrakech, Morocco where they will battle against 11 other countries for the title of World Champions!
