CHASEPOINT #2 – Newbody's Boot Camp
Location: Bowring Park
Timing: Friday September 5, 2008 – 11:30am to 12:30pm
Description: After arriving at Cychotic Bike Shop participants were equipped with bikes and told to travel approximately 15km to their next ChasePoint at Bowring Park. Here, teams were pushed to their physical limits, by some of the most intense instructors imaginable.

The Task:
Teams were provided with a 10lb bar and instructed to travel two laps around a 400-metre circuit in the park. Throughout the run, the bar needed to stay above there head at all times, unless instructed otherwise at a station. If the bar dropped below their chin at any time, teams had to drop their bars and run a complete lap before continuing - NO MERCY!!
Stations:
- Facing one another in a sit-up position, teammates completed 50 sit-ups exchanging one of the 10lb bars to their partner at the top of each sit-up.
- Teams arrived at a set of 50 steps and needed to complete 4 different styles of stair climbing; one team member at a time, with bar in hand. At the top of each set of stairs participants needed to complete 10 Burpee's. The team member not climbing needed to continuously skip until it was their turn.
- Alphabet push-up's - Facing one another teammates performed push-ups clapping hands at the top of each push-up and shouting out each letter of the alphabet – first forwards, then backwards.
- Picnic table obstacle course – A series of picnic tables were setup on a small hill. With 10lb bars in hand teams had to weave through the tables at the guidance of the instructors.
- Medicine ball over-unders – With team members standing back to back, a medicine ball was continually passed over there heads and then between their legs.
Once all stations were successfully completed, teams raced to the finish.
