CHASEPOINT #5 – Fire Fighter Combat Training Course
Location: Fire Training facility – O'Leary Avenue
Timing: Friday September 5, 2008 – 2:30pm to 3:30pm
Description: After drying off from a unique experience in the pool, teams were received their next clues in an extremely welcomed sight – their Mitsubishi Outlanders! After finding their way to the St. John's Fire Training Facility teams were challenged to complete the Firefighter Combat Challenge Training Course - Team members would go through the course one at a time in full safety gear before receiving their next clue.
Adding pressure, and inspiration to the challenge, was the fact that it was being led Deputy Fire Chief Jack Hickey who is the current World Champion of the Firefighter Combat Challenge.
Deputy Chief Hickey completes the course in a time of 1:31. None of our participants were able to crack the 4 minute mark.
