Sarah, Edmonton 2009 "I completed the Edmonton City Chase yesterday and once again, it was unbelievably fun. I wanted to let you know about a positive spin-off from the event that you probably don't know about. I completed the Mindbender Chasepoint at West Edmonton Mall, and the stranger I recruited to come with me was a youth leader at a church in Calgary. He was in town because the youth from his church wanted to see West Edmonton Mall, as many of them were new Canadians and had therefore never been there. As we were exiting the Mindbender, he noticed several of these kids in the lineup, as they had been recruited by other Chasers to come on the ride. He told me how awesome this was for those kids because most of them did not have money to be able to go on the rides themselves, as they were new Canadians. But because of City Chase, they were able to experience the Mindbender during their visit to the mall. I think that was an incredibly positive spinoff from the event.
